Ranger Introduction
The TDS Ranger opens a new world of productivity in the field. It’s faster, easier to use, holds larger files, and your data is significantly safer in the rugged Ranger. You benefit by getting more work done in less time. When you compare the lower price and advantages of the TDS Ranger to old world rugged systems, the choice is as clear as a new day.
The Ranger is rugged.
The Ranger is designed to exceed MIL-STD-810F, Method 516.5, for drops onto a hard surface from a height of 122cm (4 feet). The MIL-STD-810F method for a 2 meter drop is a "Package Drop." That means the product is dropped while it is inside of its shipping container. The method that we are using for the 1.22 meter drop is the most severe test for a product in its "ready to use" condition (i.e. out of the box).
The Ranger is reliable.
The Ranger uses nonvolatile Flash Card memory for storage, so when the batteries go dead, your data remains. What's more, you can use the Ranger for up to 40 hours without recharging the batteries, and it can remain in standby mode for 80 hours. Say goodbye to lost data.
The Ranger is productive.
The Ranger is faster, easier to use and it holds more software and larger data files than competing handheld PCs. It lets you get more work done in less time.
